Murphy's Law

"If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong", the old adage says.

This week was good, but it was trying.  As usual, money was tight and the bills were due.  The good thing is I'm working on my to-do list as fast as I can (gettin'er done).   But, with 4 kids and a husband, the to-do list seems to be a revolving list.  My job is never done.

One of the things on my list is to take care of some traffic tickets I have.  So far, I have completed 2 days of community service (a great accomplishment) to cover 1 of the tickets worth $214.  I have 5 more days of community service to do in order to clear another $1100 worth of tickets.  My point is I'm working on it, right?

Well, just as I'm working on another item on my do-to list (replacing the broken window pane in the girls room) I realize I need to return to the home-improvement to have the glass re-cut.  So I run out thinking I'll do this errand quickly and effortless.  But before I could get 2 blocks away from my house I get stopped in a police roadblock (Fuck!).  I was also given another ticket during this stop.  "For what?" you say,
Just use your imagination...

I also had a meeting at the child support office that seem to go in my favor.  No disputes were filed and all signatures were collected.  But, a mistake was found (great! It was in my favor) and acknowledgment of it had to be initialed by both parties.  Since, the mistake favored me, I was present and eager to sign.  The other party had already left and didn't know of the change (not favoring him...Damn!  Will he return to sign?) Uuuugghh!!

As if taking care of 4 children, a husband, a household, and this to-do list (that I haven't even began to scratch the surface of yet) isn't hard enough... I had a visit from a lady on Friday afternoon.  And all I want to know is...
WTF does the CPS want?!
